Under the supervision ofthe Center Director, the Research Program Coordinator willcollaborate on innovative Center and grant-funded projects toadvance evidence-based policy and practice and effectively engagefamilies and communities in efforts to promote healthy childdevelopment and improve health outcomes for all children, youth andfamilies in the United States and beyond.The successful candidatewill have demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience working onapplied and translational health care and public health projects inmaternal and child health (MCH) or related field. Key to thisposition is experience developing and testing dissemination andimplementation approaches and materials for applied use of tools inthe field, among families, providers, and other positions in thepediatric setting, including toolkits, websites, orientationpresentations, video tutorials, and other materials for theadoption of innovations in real-world settings. Applied qualitativeand quantitative research methods to design, test, implement anddisseminate strategies that engage patients, families andcommunities to improve quality of public health, primary care orrelated services are desired. The candidate will also be engaged insupporting the development and dissemination of data findings fromthe National Survey of Children’s Health, will help with conductingand synthesizing environmental scans, literature reviews and policyreviews and assist in grant writing and management and assist withresearch publications as needed. The successful candidate willserve as a project liaison with selected Center contractors toensure deliverables are on track and met, including experts, ITconsultants, and others. Interest and ability to contribute to thedevelopment of new projects and passion for improving the healthand wellbeing of all children, youth and families isessential.Specific Duties& ResponsibilitiesApplication of MCHEpidemiology, Program and Policy Knowledge. The RPC willhold sufficient knowledge of MCH epidemiology and MCH program andpolicy knowledge to immediately contribute to the design andcompletion of communications materials and issue briefs related toCenter research and resources, including development of fieldengagement toolkits and educational webinars related to topicsranging from: (1) using the Center’s National Data Resource Centerfor Child and Adolescent Health, and (2) using best practices andimplementation and dissemination research to scale and implementthe Center’s engagement-based models of care. Demonstrated abilityand eagerness to grow MCH epidemiology, program and policyknowledge is required.Development ofBest Practice Implementation Materials and ProceduresDocumentation:The RPC will both assist with and lead thedevelopment of implementation strategies and materials for applieduse of Center’s Cycle of Engagement tools in the field, amongfamilies, providers, and other positions in the pediatric setting.This will include the development or revision of toolkits,websites, orientation presentations, video tutorials, worksheets,and other materials for the adoption of innovations in real-worldsettings. These materials will be tested through qualitative andquantitative research methods to ensure alignment with bestpractices and meeting the needs of the population served. The RPCwill also coordinate and participate in create staff user andprocedure manuals and standards of operation andprocedures.StakeholderEngagement and Partner Collaboration: The RPC will monitorand manage the work plans and deliverables of expert consultantsand contractors, as well as advisors and leaders from the field,interfacing with members, establishing and facilitating workingmeetings, and ensuring progress on stakeholder engagementgoals.Technicalassistance, analytics and IT developmentcoordinate:Coordinate efforts to develop a coherent andenhanced systems analytics and technical assistance strategy forthe Center’s public facing resources and IT based tools andplatforms. Work closely to schedule, track and confirm quality workcompletion from IT contractors and developers.Supervision:Supervisestudent interns.Other tasksinclude:Partner in the creation ofnew collaborations and funding developments to further advance thework of the CAHMI.
