Siemens Awarded Electrical System Infrastructure Job on Dudgeon OWF

first_imgDudgeon Offshore Wind Limited has awarded the contract for the Electrical System Infrastructure for its Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm to Siemens Transmission and Distribution Ltd.The contract covers engineering, procurement, construction and offshore hook-up of one onshore substation and one offshore substation including jacket foundation. Siemens will have the overall system responsibility to connect the offshore wind farm on to the 400 kV National Grid network in Necton. Transmission capacity will be above 400 MW and include transformation from 33/132/400 kV.Siemens will run the project from Manchester while the jacket and topside for the offshore substation will be built at a UK yard.The Electrical System Infrastructure shall be finalised during 2016.“We’re pleased to see that a UK supplier wins this important contract in a competitive supplier market. Wizard World Comic-Con Once Again Takes Cleveland by Storm

CLEVELAND – It was another outstanding weekend for collectors and fans of film and screen and even wrestling as Wizard World Comic-Con was back in town with another great show at the Cleveland Convention Center.The event, held from Friday to Sunday, was full of great celebrity guests as well as tons of great merchandise from t-shirts to figures, Funko Pops, and artists showing off their prints.As usual a ton of fans came to the event over three days dressed up, taking in all the sights and sounds of the event as they waited for TV and film stars to take to the stage for pictures and autographs.This years stars included Anthony Mackie (Falcon from the Avengers movies), Millie Bobby Brown (NetFlix Hit Series ‘Stranger Things‘), Gene Simmons (of KISS fame), Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter), Dean Cain (Played Superman in ‘Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman’), and Kurt Angle (Former WWE Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist). The event will return to Cleveland in 2018 – and will take place from March 23rd to the 25th.
