Two killed by train mourned at service

first_imgPASADENA – Family and friends of a Covina man and his niece, killed when his car was struck by a Metrolink train on Father’s Day, came together Friday to celebrate two lives. Earl “Lorenzo” Brown, 53, and Raeven Smith, 10, were remembered as “twin towers” of faith, who touched the lives of all who knew them. The dual service at the Calvary Christian Methodist Episcopalian church lasted nearly two hours and afforded time for many of the 300 friends and family in attendance to come to the altar and remember the pair. Among those in attendance was Brown’s 12-year-old daughter Christina, who survived the crash. One hand wrapped in a tight bandage, Christina needed a walker to make the short journey down the church’s center aisle. She was recently released from Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles after undergoing several surgeries. 165Let’s talk business.Catch up on the business news closest to you with our daily newsletter.
