Gov. Walker is hoping to garner support from fellow lawmakers in order to draft a tax bill that he says is imperative in order to address the state’s revenue issues this year. He expects to unveil a tax bill for consideration sometime later this year. The state is grappling with a multi billion-dollar deficit, and continued low oil prices. Lawmakers have passed a budget mostly funded out of savings, and according to Gov. Walker failed to come to terms on a long-term fiscal plan.
