Police Arrest Two Nigerians Suspected of Drug Trafficking

Rabat – Police of the Mohammed V international airport in Casablanca arrested, on Thursday, two Nigerian nationals suspected of drug trafficking. The accused, who were traveling from Sao Paulo (Brazil) to Bamako and Abidjan airports via the Mohammed V international airport, passed through an X-ray scanner which revealed the presence in their stomachs of capsules containing suspected cocaine, said a statement by the national police.The two Nigerians were transferred to the Ibn Rochd hospital in Casablanca for the removal of the capsules and an investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, the same source added.
